Successful handover of the Solar Water Irrigation System

On January 10, 2025, we witnessed the successful handover of the Solar Water Irrigation System (SWIS) and the fencing project at Mapanao Elementary School. Both made possible through the generous donation of the Olongapo Multi-Purpose Cooperative. Our heartfelt thanks go to the officers, staff, and members of the Cooperative for their unwavering support and dedication to empowering our farmers and ensuring the safety of our students.
OMPC donated a Solar Water Irrigation System (SWIS) to the Pamatawan Farmers Association (PFA), benefiting their 73.63 hectares of farmland. Officially turned over on January 10, 2025, the system addresses irrigation challenges, enhances agricultural productivity, reduces costs, and promotes eco-friendly practices by utilizing solar energy.
The project included training sessions for PFA members to ensure effective operation and maintenance. This initiative demonstrates OMPC’s commitment to sustainable agricultural development and community empowerment, with the PFA expressing heartfelt gratitude for the transformative impact on their livelihoods.
The fencing project at Mapanao Elementary School, spanning a total length of 49 meters, has been successfully completed. This project was initiated to improve the safety and security of the school premises, providing a clear boundary and enhancing the overall environment for students and staff.
The construction process involved careful planning, from site preparation and material procurement to the actual installation of the fence. This accomplishment is a testament to the collaborative efforts of everyone involved.
Together, we are building a brighter and more sustainable future for our community.
